About the Magnetic Array Filter Company
The original Magnet Array Filter Collar was created by Dennis O’Neel: a humble, resilient, family-man with various technical and business skills and a love for bike riding in central Iowa.
Dennis says: “The concept for Magnet Array Filtration began during an oil change on a sunny day, when I was pouring the old oil into a container and I noticed the sunlight reflecting from the particles. I wondered how many of these particles were magnetic. I knew that the oil flow in the engine is pretty fast*, so I had to have the strongest magnetic array possible. After several oil changes and prototypes later each oil filter was cut open and showed a lot of iron contaminants.”
He continues, “I researched to see if there were any other brands of magnetic filters and there were, so I purchased one. As soon as I put it on my oil filter I immediately could tell the magnetic strength was very weak and was concerned it might fall off while driving. All my prototypes were many times stronger in comparison and would never fall off.”
His pursuit explained, “Wanting the strongest magnetic field, I then called Iowa State University and found that they had the top 2 Magnetic Engineers in the world on their staff. After great conversations with them, they were excited about what I developed. They thought my concept had merit and suggested that I write a proposal to Engineer the Strongest Magnetic Field, and the proposal was granted.”
His conclusion, “After about a year collaborating with Iowa State Magnetic Engineering, we developed the strongest Magnetic Array possible and Magnetic Array Filtration Company was born. A year later, patent US7662282B2 was granted.”
Magnetic Array Filtration Company has exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute the 360MAFC Magnetic Array Filter Collar and subsequent solutions to filtering metals out of fluid flow. Developments with engine and system manufacturers will help them mitigate equipment failures.

Our customers also proudly display the provided "window sticker" on the vehicle or implement with the date of installation and the mileage or engine hours. They understand that the 360MAFC investment in the engine life can mean more to the lifetime value than what someone could spend on their personal care items in one year
